Hounds & Horses

A scene from our day in Jevington.
I can't even put into words how I feel when I see things like this. Scenes you're used to seeing on film or old oil paintings. I felt like I was dreaming...

The good thing is that the hounds no longer chase actual foxes. Instead they chase a few runners that get a head start. More about it HERE

Postcards from Greenwich

We had a nice day out in Greenwich today. Walked through town and the market, where we saw interesting hand made crafts. We then took a walk up to the park and the Royal Observatory.
You know when you're looking at the time zones and you see Greenwich Mean Time?
Yeah, well that's here!

City Farm

We heard that Spitalfields City Farm was having sheep races.
Sounds great right?

Well...turns out they were kids dressed up as sheep...racing.

Obviously a bit dissapointed, we made the best of it and took a walk around this city "farm"

There was actually a sheep shearing demonstration earlier in the day which we missed. Instead we saw sheep that looked almost embarassed about their new naked bodies.

Dulwich Hamlet VS Worthing

Today Sandra was introduced to the
cultural phenomenon that is English football.
What better place to start than the Isthmian league (9th division LOL!).
The Worthing FC fans turned out in droves to show their support, putting on a brave face in spite of the torrents of abuse from the Dulwich Hamlet supporters.
The Hamlet in action!!

Final Score
Worthing FC: 2 - Dulwich Hamlet: 1
