Close to work

I can't even explain how cool it is to work down the street from these amazing historical landmarks.
It's Friday night and we thought it would be nice to walk home instead of taking a hot, crowded train.
We walked along the Thames River for a bit.
I've been lazy about carrying my camera lately and I was regretting it now.
I was also regretting not having any gloves! I had the camera phone available but it was hard having to snap a photo with freezing cold hands.

I looked back and had this view of the shard in construction

Looking down, there was this little "stream" of water flowing along the way.
I wonder how many people have accidently slipped their foot in it...
Even more exciting, you can see Tower Bridge in the distance.

London has such an interesting combination of old and new architecture.

New:

Old:
(The Tower of London, across the river)

(Tower Bridge)

and now, multiple shots of tower bridge taken on the phone.
I couldn't stop snapping, wishing I had my SLR on me.

My hands were too cold to keep taking photos.
I kept them in my pockets after this and we had a nice long walk home.

TGIF Thursday

We were craving a burger and fries today.
Headed down to Leicester Square and found a TGI.Fridays!

...WORST SERVICE EVER.

1. They took forever to bring our food.
2. I had to keep asking for a water refills.
3. We had to ask for condiments. Then when we did, they apparently forgot.
So we had to ask someone else again.
4. Buffalo Wings...hardly had buffalo on them.

At least our burger and fries were good :)

Gypsy Jazz Night

Absolutely loved it here!
"A unique wine bar from a bygone era: pre-war France, with Hot Club gypsy jazz, invented by Django Reinhardt. Based in London, UK,
they offer the best in live music and gypsy jazz."

Here's a video clip that will give you a good feel for the place

Tonight we went to see Lollo Meier
These are the only photos I managed to snap:

Day Four

We came to Eastbourne for the weekend to hang out with Niall's parents.

I love looking out their kitchen window, it's a bird haven out there!
You can't tell from this photo but there were a few different species of birds and some squirrels running around.

I can't get enough of these old buildings!
I especially love seeing the pointy ones peeking above the rest from afar.
I feel like I'm in another world. It's so surreal being here.

We took a shortcut through the park...

Walks to the store don't look like this in L.A!

Some gooooooood coffee!
Taking a break from the cold weather outside.

Came home to a yummy roast dinner! and I had Yorkshire Pudding for the first time.
I've got to say...I'm a fan!
