I can't even explain how cool it is to work down the street from these amazing historical landmarks.
It's Friday night and we thought it would be nice to walk home instead of taking a hot, crowded train.
We walked along the Thames River for a bit.
I've been lazy about carrying my camera lately and I was regretting it now.
I was also regretting not having any gloves! I had the camera phone available but it was hard having to snap a photo with freezing cold hands.
I looked back and had this view of the shard in construction
Looking down, there was this little "stream" of water flowing along the way.
I wonder how many people have accidently slipped their foot in it...
Even more exciting, you can see Tower Bridge in the distance.
London has such an interesting combination of old and new architecture.
New:
Old:
(The Tower of London, across the river)
(Tower Bridge)
and now, multiple shots of tower bridge taken on the phone.
I couldn't stop snapping, wishing I had my SLR on me.
My hands were too cold to keep taking photos.
I kept them in my pockets after this and we had a nice long walk home.
